DICOM output

Hello, is it possible with Anatomist to save in a DICOM format ? I thought no, then realized that it's in the list of formats available when trying to save an object, but when I try to give a file name without extension and chose the dicom format it is saved in GIS with the .ima/.dim extensions ... ...

Re: Import GE T1 MRI whith BV 3.1

I had this problem before and one quick fix is to edit the .minf of the D:\bd\electrode\roussy\t1mri\default_acquisition\roussy.ima image and to erase the line in which 'global modality' appears...

Re: gifti

Hi, it is indeed possible, and if you do use the converter I would appreciate any feedback.
It is in the "Tools->Converter->Gifti to Brainvisa" process.

Re: .obj to .mesh

Hello
that makes me think : when applying a transformation that involves axis inversions, triangles might be turned the wrong way (towards the inside). I know it is possible to invert polygon orientation in Anatomist, I wondered why it is not done automatically ?

Thanks for your answer Denis. Your're talking about the development anatomist-3.1 version, right ? Yes. The "SPM" referential is the referential of the SPM-MNI normalization template. It allows to get SPM coordinates. The transformation is OK when the red ref is really Talairach-AC/PC. And...

Anatomist and talairach coordinates

Hello there, I (still) have troubles to see clear in the whole transformation/coordinate business. As far as I understand, when importing a T1 MRI in Brainvisa, the transformation to Talairach is computed. When displaying the image in Anatomist, the red referential is named as "Talairach-AC/PC-...

Hello Arno, the parcellation process is still under important developments (mostly to get a more robust process). Hopefully we will have a stable version available with the next release of Brainvisa. It should not be too long anyway before it converges to a usable software. if you are interested, wr...

orientation convention and import into BV

Hi there, I have an issue with neurological/radiological conventions and I would like to make sure everything's OK before Iimport files into BV database. I know this is a recurrent issue, I looked on the forum but did not find any satisfactory answer in previous posts. I want to import SPM5 normaliz...

Do you want to try it to start with Anatomist and could you give me your opinion before we will propose on the web site ?
Yes, I'll be very happy to do that.

Julian, the first thing to do is to sort out the language thing. Go to the preference menu, "general" section, and chose english in the language box, then restart brainvisa. It opens with a "brainvisa help" page in the right pane. You should start from there. For your particular ...

Hi there, just a quick comment about the RSS/phpBB hack. I am vey interested in it, I think it is a very useful thing. One has to remember to go on the forum every day to see what is going on, and having a quick look on a page like netvibes ( http://www.netvibes.com ) or through one's email client i...

Hi there,
from my experience with our difficult images  the best results are achieved when using :
Bias correction : 2005 (huge improvement, thank you Jeff)
Histogram analysis : 2004
Everything that follows : 2005

I hope this helps,

Hello,
I am not sue I understand exactly what you are trying to do but if you run the anatomical pipeline in brainvisa on your T1 volume you will get (amongst other things) a mesh of the head. And you do not need to apply spm bias correction since ther is one in the anatomical pipeline.
