Pli de passages

Post by lena1234 »

Hi Brainvisa experts,
I am trying to find how the number of plis de passages are actually calculated in each sulcus. I understand this is based on a minimum depth function, but can some one throw a bit more light on this?
I note that when the images are warped/normalised the number of plis de passages appear very different from the nonwarped images that are only reoriented manually.

Hi,
As I rememver, plis de passage are detected on a criterion mixing depth and curvature variation in the bottom of folds. This criterion is quite unstable and not really reliable (and our algorithms and stats do not rely heavily on it)... I am not totally surprised that image orientation has consequences on their detection...
