siMeshSulciProjection

Post by cedric clouchoux »

Hi there

what is the meaning of the values i have on the output texture given by "siMeshSulciProjection"? I mean, does each value match each sulci projected? If it's true, from where does this value come (i thought it was from the field "value" in the corresponding graph, but i don't think it really makes sense...")? Maybe it's something incremental, but i have only 4 or 5 sulcus projected, and the values on the texture goes up to something like 121...
thx for your help!

Hi Cedric,

The values on the output texture correspond to the label of the projected sulci.

You can find the sulci-to-integer map in the file *txt in the directory graphe of the subject. It looks like

----------
F.C.L._left 1
F.C.L._right 2
F.C.L.r.ant._left 3
F.C.L.r.ant._right 4
F.C.L.r.asc._left 5
F.C.L.r.asc._right 6
F.C.L.r.diag._left 7
F.C.L.r.diag._right 8
F.C.L.r.sc.ant._left 9
F.C.L.r.sc.ant._right 10
F.C.L.r.sc.post._left 11
F.C.L.r.sc.post._right 12
F.C.L.r.temp.t._left 13
.
.
.
.
.
para4_left 129
para4_right 130
para5_left 131
para5_right 132
unknown 133
ventricle_left 134
ventricle_right 135
unknown 136
-------------------

The translation is done at the beginning of the process and so does not take into account the sulci to be project. So, for instance, if you project 'F.C.L.' and 'para5', your texture values will range from 1 to 136.

The corresponding *.txt file is not visible by Brainvisa, perhaps should I modify this point ?

ok thanks a lot!
It may be a good idea to put this file visible by Brainvisa. For instance, i need to use every projected sulci separately (and so i need to know their value on the texture), and it would be nice to easily know which file i have to check.
thanks again :-)

I've corrected it. Brainvisa calls this file <SUBJECT>_sulci_to_texture.txt (sulci_to_texture_traduction in 'Create Label Texture' and '2D White Matter Parcellation')
