Hi,
aim: to measure sulcal depth in a group of patients and controls.
question: if i increase the "pressure" when doing "compute cortex image" in _some_ brains in my sample BUT NOT in other brains in my sample, will this differentially affect measures such as "sulcal depth"? I mean: if i change the parameter "pressure", i should apply it to ALL of the subjects in my sample, not to a subsample only, is this correct?
merci,

Re: brainvisa parameter change
Honestly, this issue could deserve some experiment, but I do not think
the sulcus depth would be changed by this parameter. This pression was mainly introduced to
slightly improve the grey/white matter interface, which is far to be the strongest point in
Morphologist because it is only a byproduct of our sulcus segmentation process.
In fact this interface is only initializing the processus computing the skeleton or medial axis
leading to the sulci. I do not think the final result is dependent on the variations resulting
from the pression parameters. But this is worth an experiment with one brain...
