Hi,

I'm interesting in variability of FA values due to acquisition or post-processing.
So, I have some question about FA computing

There are various methods to

- perform eddy current correction
- brain extraction
- estimate the diffusion tensor (linear least squares, non linear least squares...)

How Brain visa computes that ?
I didn't find any information about that.

For eddy current correction and diffusion tensor estimation I think BrainVISA still rely on methods described in the following paper.

The brain extraction from T2 images (i.e. not the brain extraction from T1 done in Morphologist toolbox) is done by a simple chaining of thresholding, erosion, selection of biggest connected component and dilation.
