Harmonic parameterization of the cortical surface

Post by atsui »

Hi,

I'm interested in applying the method in the 2011 paper on Model-Driven Harmonic Parameterization of the Cortical Surface to some of our meshes.

Before asking further, I noticed that a previous thread mentioned there is the 2012 cortical surface parameterization pipeline is in progress. Is that pipeline based on the harmonic mapping method described in the paper? If so, I suppose I'll have to wait until it's been completed before trying it.

But if not, I noticed that there a handful of tools in the Cortical Surface > referentials toolbox that are relevant to the method I'm interested in and was wondering if it was possible to make use of these tools to carry out the harmonic mapping. If it is, I'll ask again in more detail.

Thanks,

Hello,
I should have looked at this post before I answered your next one... Indeed the 'pipeline 2012' version of the cortical parameterization process is the implementation of the paper you mention (the harmonic parameterization). It also includes the sulcal line extraction method published here: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/ar ... 1912004028.

nevertheless it is not fully implemented yet so it won't work just now, it is planned for next version of BV.
