I read in another post that “AimsMeshBrain yields nice brain mesh only if coupled with VipOpenFold”.
1) My aim is to extract CS, and I get ok meshes without. What is the purpose of VipOpenFold in relation to remeshing?
2) When I run VipOpenFold (I run it before AimsMeshBrain) I add a brian mask as Seed. The result is that my sulci now is a brain instead of my sulci?

Hi,
VipOpenFold was used to get a GM/CSF mesh with folds going through the bottom of the sulci. It is not needed to build SC meshes.
Moreover it is not used any longer for GM meshes in Morphologist 2012, the segmentation and meshing algorithms do not need it anymore.
