Re: osx 10.9 maverick
Well, we do not have a mac with 10.9, so we could not test this configuration so far.
Re: osx 10.9 maverick
Hi there,
I'm having a similar problem with the mac computers which were (stupidly) updated.
If it helps clarify the problem, the error message on running from terminal:

I've tried updating both python and Qt itself, but it still can't load the library. Will keep working on it, but I'm not sure if there's an easy fix for this that I'm overlooking again, or whether I should just give up on mac completely...
Thanks,
L

Re: osx 10.9 maverick
I had the same problem with Mavericks
I finally succeeded in starting brainVISA by installing an old version of qt-mac (4.7.4) and
the last version of XQuartz.
It seems to start up fine here. Data analysis yells at me several database errors messages but doesn't seem compromised.
Tell me if it works for you

How did you install the qt-mac (4.7.4) with El Capitan? Apparently is not a compatible version.
Thanks,
