Hi,
How 'Sulci Curvature Stats' tool computes the curvature? Is it the mean curvature over all the sulcal mesh vertices?
Thank you,
Fab

Re: Sulci Curvature Stats
Hi,
I have checked a little bit, not completely. Here is whar it does:
* use AimsMeshCurvature to get per-vertex curvature maps on sulci meshes. The brainvisa process sticks with the default curvature calculation, which is a finite elements approximation (I don't remember exactly how it is dont, I didn't dig into this part). The curvature may be positive or negative according to convexity. It's the same as in the curvature maps processed by "white mesh curvature map" or "inflate cortical surface" processes.
* exlude vertices on the edges of the sulci (bottom, external junction, junctions with other folds to remove artificially high-curvature points
* average the absolute value of the curvature.
