problem of interaction between Anatomist and Brainvisa

Post by quere »

HI!
I have a problem with anatomist. In fact when I launch a function like 'Ana to all ...' for exemple. And when I click on the eye to visualize, the toolbox Anatomist appears but I am obliged to go to search the image with the hand.
Could you help me please?
Thanks
Aurélie :)

Always or sometimes ?

Hello

I work on Windows XP family and my packtage is SHFJ_pack-stable-win32-2.3.5. I have ever tried 'Anatomis Show volume' but it is the same...

So what can I do?

Hmmm, this could look like a communication problem between BV and Anatomist. Some people have already experienced such strange things, and I'm not sure we have found a rational explanation in every case. Anyway in some cases at least it was related to strange (or incorrect) network settings on the machine.

Can you check the log in brainvisa and see in the "communications with anatomist" section if commands were actually sent to anatomist ? And you can send us a logfile (using the "support/bug report" menu in BV) so we can try to understand.

Hi!

I send you my Brainvisa.log, because I tried to sent it to support@brainvisa.info but I have an error message like this:

SMTPServerDisconnected: Connection unexpectedly closed

neuroConfigGUI.py (558) in _ok: s = smtplib.SMTP( neuroConfig.SMTP_server_name )
smtplib.py (240) in __init__:
(code, msg) = self.connect(host, port)
smtplib.py (303) in connect:
(code, msg) = self.getreply()
smtplib.py (347) in getreply:
raise SMTPServerDisconnected("Connection unexpectedly closed")

So this is my Brainvisa.log

Well, the "send mail" feature doesn't work for you... is your machine connected to the internet ?
Oh yes I see (from your log): you must fill in the "SMTP_server_name" option in the "support" tab of the settings before BV can send emails: it must know the mail server to use (also fill in your address in "userEmail").

If it still doesn't work, send the log file "by hand": you will find it in C:\Documents and Settings\Lili\.brainvisa\brainvisa.log after you have closed brainvisa (it's important to close BV otherwise the log file may be split into several files and not complete)
Send it to the support mail address.
Here the log you copied is incomplete: I cannot see the anatomist section.
