There is an option in the head mesh dialogue to input a "remove mask" . In the documentation it says i can use it to "manually remove sharp edges induced by artifacts". How do i create this mask?

how to correct the head mesh

I am trying to extract the head mesh but there are two artifacts: one at the top of the head and one at the forehead. Lowering the threshold to 1370 gets rid of the large artifact at the top of the head but not the one at the forehead. The problem seems to be in the head mask, it leaks until the edg...

AimsRefineMesh

I would like to refine the meshes i get after segmentation. I would like the vertex spacing to be < 1.0 mm. I decided to use AimsRefineMesh and am using a command like this with the following output: >> AimsRefineMesh -i brain.mesh -o brain_refine.mesh -l 1.0 reading mesh : done processing inverse d...

Thank you Denghein for the response; however, I would like to ask how do I "begin the movie"? Right now, following the instructions, i still have to manually scroll thru all the frames to get anatomist to save the frames. Is there a "play" button that will automatically loop thru...

Saving series of textures

Hello,

I have a series of textures that I can step through on a mesh and I would like to save all the images as an animation. Is there a command in anatomist that would save all the frames for me or save the entire animation? Right now I have to save each frame manually.

Thanks

Yes, you are correct. There was a bad buffer flush when I generated my tex file. The slider at the side appears now displaying the texture correctly. Thank you! -------- A related question: Is there a way to view slices of a fused .mesh and .tex file? Alternatively, is there a way to fuse a .tex fil...

My mistake, I do not have the number of points in the first line. ( Would you be able to add this little bit of info to the help text for future reference ) It also seems the convexHull.mesh is the original .mesh file only with the vectorOf<polygons> modified to indicate the facets that represent th...

Thank you for the suggestion: I have tried to use AimsConvexHull on a set of 3D points generated from the .mesh file. Basically, I read in a .mesh file and spit out a txt file where each line in the txt file contains the x,y,z-components of one vertex point. Then I run the command AimsConvexHull -i ...

how to display textures at diff time steps?

Hello, In anatomist, how do I step thru the textures one by one? ( what am i trying to do? ) What I want to do is visualize how some calculated values on the mesh change as I change other parameters. I try to do this by creating a .tex file with n time steps and I want to be able to step thru each t...

how to combine *_hemi.mesh files into one .mesh file

Hello, I would like to combine the *_Lhemi.mesh and *_Rhemi.mesh into one .mesh file. Is there an Aims command to do this? (history) I (perhaps naively) tried to this by reading in the two *_hemi.mesh files and appending the appropriate sections together into a combined.mesh file; however, anatomist...

display brain.mesh with corresponding value for each mesh pt

I have converted the *_brain.mesh to 3D points in space and using other analysis software have calculated a value for each mesh point. Now, I would like to display these values on the brain mesh ( or inflated brain mesh) in anatomist. As far as I understand, I can either create a .tex file or a .bck...

Hello,

Is there function in BrainVISA that returns the convex hull of the brain mesh?

All advice appreciated.
