problem solved. thanks!
a question on the resulting L/R*.arg files. they contain a "brain_hull_area" and "refbrain_hull_area". what are the precise definitions of these? for example, what isotropic closing-distance was used to ensure the smoothness of the boundary?

Re: error compute cortical fold graph (3.1)
Hi, i´m using the latest version of Brainvisa (3.1 - 2008/06/20). when using compute cortical fold graph i _still_ get the following error message (an *.arg file with info is created though): ***** Process Compute Cortical Fold Graph 1 started on 2008/06/24 10:16 Masking Bias corrected image with he...

Hi, i am using version 3.1. when using "compute cortical fold graph", L/R*.arg are created but with every brain i get the following error during the process: output: Process Compute Cortical Fold Graph 6 started on 2008/06/13 11:25 Masking Bias corrected image with hemisphere masks... Comp...

Re: gyrification index
Hi,
yes, thanks. using version 3.1 now, a bit more user-friendly for calculating gyrification.
PeterK: your toolbox seems designed for version 3.02, is that correct?
merci.

Re: brain hull
Hi,
yes, i´m interested in the brain surface (_after_ the morphological closing of 5mm) and therefore reasoned the following:
AimsMeshArea -i *L/Rhemi.mesh
is this correct? if not, how do you correctly calculate the hemispheric brain surface after the VipHomotopicSnake process?
merci,

Hi, after using "Automatic recognition" i found in the generated L/R*Auto.arg file a part: *BEGIN NODE hull 116 name brain_hull index 0 *END obviously, this part did not contain the useful information which is described along with the other nodes in the L/R*Auto.arg file. my question is: w...

Hi,
if you´re looking for hippocampus segmentation software outside BrainVisa i suggest you have a look at FSL-FIRST.
best,

Hi,
is there an update on my 4 questions? that is, could somebody confirm whether this is the _exact_ right way to do it?
thanks,

Hi, i want to calculate a g-SI (global sulcal index) as described in (Cachia et al., Cortical folding abnormalities in schizophrenia patients with resistant auditory hallucinations, NI, 2007). four questions: - in the paper it reads: "The hemispheric outer cortex area was defined as the area of...

Hi, - system: fedora core 7, 64 bits, i am connected through a vnc connection. - problem: anatomist does not properly display the mesh files included in the demo data (subject01_Lhemi.mesh and all other meshes as well). - my /etc/X11/xorg.conf file says under 'devices' that i have 'nvidia' installed...
