Re: ipython problem
hmmm... google says it seems to be a readline-related problem... see for example: http://mail.scipy.org/pipermail/ipython-user/2008-September/005829.html (his problems are identical to mine: "pressing up arrow prints ^[[A"; and also "down arrow prints ^[[B", and tab doesn't work....

ipython problem
Hey all! Finally I'm finding some time to play with all the programming stuff I learnt during last month's great training session... And here is my first (very basic) question... The ipython version that comes with BV (0.8.2; launched from the BV menu, the BV version being 3.2.0) doesn't allow me to...

Re: importing 3D model from CAD software?
ok, denis, thanks, it sounds like that should do it!!
for now, I'm having problems getting blender to work on my ubuntu system (pretty sure it's a graphic card driver issue);
I'll let you know how it unfolds...
cheers,
sylvain

Re: importing 3D model from CAD software?
Hi Olivier (thanks for the remote answer ),
I do have a VRML file exported from Catia, and VRML is listed in the list of formats supported by Blender, so that should do it! What's the recipe after importing the mesh into Blender?
Cheers,
Sylvain

importing 3D model from CAD software?
Hi all, I'd like to import a 3D model of an object that was designed in the CATIA software (the computer-assisted design soft)... Is there anyway to convert the fileformat from CATIA (or something that can be exported from CATIA) into something than can be read by anatomist? Thanks in advance, Sylva...

problem with a .ima file
Hi, I have a weird problem... We created a mask using the ROI tool of Anatomist 3.1.5 on Windows (Region -> Export as Mask). Everything is fine on that computer, but when I copy this file to my linux machine (running ubuntu 8.04), I cannot open it in Anatomist 3.1.4, I get this error: /directory/fil...

cropping an image + referentials correspondance
Hi everybody, I have a T1 image in nifti format. I need to crop it (meaning: I want to select a parallepiped region of interest) into a smaller file, and then in anatomist, I need both images to appear in the same referential (meaning: when I click on a voxel in the original image, I want to see the...

macaque brain segmentation
Hi all, I'm trying to segment some macaque brains... All I'm looking for is to get a mesh of the outer skull and a mesh of the brain surface (I don't need a grey/white segmentation) Do you guys have any general advice??? Can I try to use the pipeline (after un-clicking the un-necessary steps), or do...

okok, thanks! but there's a little problem with AimsClosing... the usage (result of 'AimsClosing -h') says it computes the Chamfer distance map; it's actually identical to what you get when you do 'AimsChamferDistanceMap -h'... bug? (you can see this in the commands.html file also ;) ) Denis, can yo...
