result after Grey white matter segmentation ?

Post by tulu »

Dear Brainvisa expert,
when I do the Grey white matter segmentation, the results give me grey matter (label 100) and white matter (label 200). my question is some brain area within white matter did not label any color. It is like a small dot in everywhere. Is it right ? should I change the grey and white sigma vale in the *.han file ? or how to do ? thanks replay

I am afraid something went bad with the histogram analysis of your data. Of course you can overcome this problem via manual correction of the analysis, for instance you can increase standard deviation of white matter. But if this problem appears with all your datasets, it is leading nowhere. It may means you have some specificities in your acquisition scheme that are not correctly taken into account by the current pipeline. Hope the next one will do better.
