conversion from mesh to arg files

we're interested in the conversion of a .mesh file (obtained from aimsmesh and aimsmeshzcat containing several sulci) to .arg file. We tried to use aimsmeshcc2arg command line but we have some questions:
Is this the right way?
if it really is, what does it mean the following parameters?:
-v <input_volume>
-t <input_texture>
