Dear Brainvisa users and developers,
I am trying to select several regions of interest in the brain. I am very constrained by the choices that are offered in the regions of interest box. I need to name some of these regions of interest unique names such as Left Dentate Nucleus, etc. I was wondering if there is any way to accomplish this. I tried to change the names in the .arg file manually. But then Anatomist will not let me specify the ROI using these names.

Hi Zahir,
In the ROI toolbox, you have a "framework" menu which lets you specify the nomenclature you are using. In the current stable version (1.30), you have only a few "built-in" choices, and a "user defined" mode. In this user-defined mode, Anatomist will prompt for a name for each new region you create.
In the next version (the development version 1.31), you will also have the possibility to create and save your own nomenclatures.
