Greetings,
I see that in 2009 a VTK plug-in was added to Anatomist. Is it possible to import and export anatomist meshes from/to .vtk? It does not appear possible within the ordinary save window. If I append the ".vtk" extension in the save window my file is a GIFTi ending in ".vtk.gii".
Thanks,
Eric

Re: VTK plugin
Hello Eric,
The VTK plugin allows lo load some of VTK objects into Anatomist and to display them within the anatomist framework. But in its current state it does not allow conversions between VTK and Anatomist/Aims worlds because object structures are not exposed in the other world: the plugin just allows to use the VTK rendering engine for VTK objects, and the Anatomist rendering engine for Anatomist objects, in the same OpenGL window. It has been developed by Pierre Fillard primarily to allow to display fibers from the MedInria framework in Anatomist (and inversely).
But there should be some common mesh formats: doesn't VTK support GIFTI, or PLY, formats ?
