parameters from morphometry statistics

Post by Nat »

Could you please give me the unit measures for each of these parameters:

Volume: (is it measured in mm3?)
Maximal Depth
Hulljunctions (length)
Surface

or you can tell me where I can find this info? I already searched in your site and in Riviere's thesis but I could not find it. (maybe because somethings are in french ;-)
thank you, nat

Hi,

Yes, the volumes are in mm3 and surface is in mm2, and lengths are in mm. You have a very short doc of the measurements in brainvisa, on the morphometry process, but I know it is too succinct to get a good idea.
Just be aware that the sulcus measurements are done on the "skeleton" of the sulcus: a 1 voxel deep surface going from the brain hull inside the fold: it will actually give you information on the deph of a sulcus, but nothing about its cortical thickness or opening/LCR volume (until we work on it agin...).

Thank you!
I read the doc about the measurements in brainvisa, explained it as a footnote on my thesis. So, the volume is in mm3, the surface in mm2, the lengths in mm, what about the depth?
